I have a very dad joke-esque sense of humour and love cracking jokes with my clients to loosen you up and feel like you’re just hanging out with a friend – not standing in front of a stranger’s camera.

Hello and welcome!

Contrary to popular belief my name is not Sierra – it is Taylor. Sierra Jade is my middle name.

A little about me…

I grew up in the small town of MacGregor, Manitoba. If you have driven between Winnipeg and Brandon, you have driven by it but it is likely you may have blinked and missed it! Outside of photography I enjoy playing hockey and slo pitch, hiking, board games, wine nights with my gal pals, binging Netflix shows with my fiancé, spending time with my nieces and nephews, and playing/walking/hiking with my dog Tony. He is just the cutest little 70-pound dude ever.

My love of photography started in junior high. I grew up in the age of bringing your point and shoot camera everywhere you went and uploading all the photos from school dances, hockey tournaments or random photoshoots with your friends around town to Facebook in an album called “<3 SUMMER 2010 <3” or “ i.just.want.to.live.when.im.alive”. Oh, and you can’t forget to waaay over edit them on your picnik premium account!

I have always had a love of documenting my life and the things around me and am beyond thankful I have been able to turn something that I am passionate about into the perfect little side business. I have spent a lot of time researching and improving my skills since I started my business in 2015 (shout out to my pal Harlee for encouraging me to take the plunge!). I have worked alongside some amazing photographers, completed a yearlong photography program (and passed with flying colours) and am currently enrolled in Two Mann U. An amazing course created by two of the best photographers in the world, Erika and Lanny Mann.

My goal with every session or wedding I photograph is to create real lasting memories for my clients. I want you laughing and having a good time so that when you look back on your photos you remember the emotions you were feeling that day and all the fun you had with your partner and not just see boring static poses. I have a very dad joke-esque sense of humour and love cracking jokes with my clients to loosen you up and feel like you’re just hanging out with a friend – not standing in front of a stranger’s camera.

If you read this far – thank you! I hope to hear from you soon!
